High heat-absorbing bottle-grade polyester slice special material developed successfully

A few days ago, the high-end bottle-grade polyester chip special material development project undertaken by Yihua Chemical passed the appraisal organized by Sinopec and the Ministry of Science and Technology. According to the assessment, the overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level.

Since the 1990s, with the rapid development of China's food and beverage industry, the production capacity and consumption of PET bottles in China have been greatly improved. The two companies, Coca-Cola and Pepsi, have actively expanded the investment and production scale to seize the beverage market in China. The average annual growth rate of beverage products in China exceeds 20%. At the same time, there are approximately 35,130 beverage plants and more than 1,500 mineral water plants in China that are also actively expanding their production scale, all of which have led to a substantial increase in the market demand for PET bottles.

At present, foreign bottle-chip manufacturers have generally produced high-end heat-absorbing bottle-grade polyester chips. Under the circumstances that the project team has not yet developed, the first is to study the mechanism for improving the heat-absorbing performance of the bottle, and to study the influence of the heat-absorbing additive on the esterification reaction, the polymerization reaction, and the properties of the polyester through a reactor experiment. Through the semi-continuous polymerization device test, the relationship between the amount of endothermic additive and the endothermic performance of the bottle was studied, and its influence on the production process, the quality of the bottle, the hue and transparency of the preform was studied. On the basis of small-scale and middle-scale tests, it has successively produced and mass-produced more than 11,000 tons of bottle tablets on industrial production equipment. All of the products were exported to the US market and were recognized by Well-man and PepsiCo, creating a good economy. And social benefits. Improvement of heat-absorbing performance is one of the methods to improve the performance of bottle tablets. The development of this product will help improve the competitiveness of Yihua's bottle-chip products in foreign markets, expand export volume, and lay a foundation for the development of the domestic market.

Experts at the meeting believed that based on the study of the endothermic mechanism of polyester bottle tablets in the post-processing process, the project established a method for evaluating the endothermic effect of polyester bottle tablets, and conducted trials, pilot tests, and industrial synthesis tests and performance studies. The important process parameters such as the additive ratio and preparation of the additive were determined. The special high heat-absorbing bottle tablet material developed under the same blowing rate reduced the heating output power of the conventional preform by 10%, which has obvious energy-saving effect. Successfully developed high heat-absorption bottle-sheet special-purpose material series products, realized industrialized production, excellent product processing performance and stable quality, and has been recognized by well-known foreign users.
