New York City Considers Scrap for Unidirectional Collection

Cleveland, Ohio, March 14th, according to "Regeneration Today," reported that the City of New York considered it a successful method to adopt one-way collection for recycling.

The so-called one-way collection method is to change the recycling method for a basket of waste products and adjust the types of reclaimed biological resources so as to improve the fiscal solvency of the fiscal year.

Last year, due to budgetary issues, the New York Municipal Commission's Recycling Working Group decided not to collect plastics and glass from residential areas. Instead, it only collects waste paper and metal as two kinds of commodities to regenerate, in order to improve the cost and economic efficiency. It also benefits the environment.
