Thin Film Evaporator Successfully Used in Coating Solvent Removal Technology

The thin-film evaporator technology for coatings developed jointly by Shanghai Huasheng Chemical Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinte Technology Co., Ltd. over a period of more than three years has passed the appraisal of the expert group.

Earlier, this technology was used by epoxy resin leading enterprise Blue Star New Material Wuxi Resin Factory for solvent removal in epoxy resin production process. In 2002, China promulgated the "restriction limits for hazardous substances in solvent-borne wood coatings for interior decoration materials" and imposed strict limits on the free TDI content in coatings. In order to meet the standard, many domestic paint companies have to purchase a large number of imported film evaporators that are relatively expensive. Shanghai Huasheng Chemical Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinte Technology Co., Ltd. have successfully applied thin film evaporators to coatings to provide an economical and practical alternative for solvent removal from coatings.
