Brazil develops new environmentally friendly packaging materials

The University of Campinas, Brazil has developed a new type of environmentally friendly material for use as a lightweight packaging material that can replace current foams to eliminate “white pollution.”

According to the University’s researchers, this new substance is made from natural regenerative substances. 70% of the new material is extracted from corn, soy beans, and ramie. The oil extract accounts for only about 30%.
